Vijaypur, Aug 28: In a major breakthrough during routine checking at Vijaypur, District Police Samba has recovered an imported Pistol alongwith four live rounds and one Magazine in the jurisdiction of P/S Vijaypur.
A senior police Officer informed Early Times that a Police Party from Vijaypur during vehicle checking at Naka point Gurah Morh, Vijaypur signalled to stop a white colour swift car bearing registration number PB02-7569 which was coming from Gurah Slathian toward Vijaypur. "The driver on seeing the Police Cops left the car and fled away from the spot taking the advantage of darkness. During checking of the said car, one auto pistol No. 765 T Round made in USA, one magazine, four live Rounds, one Mobile and Driving License were recovered from inside the car", he said, adding that the accused person managed to escape from the spot. "He has been identified as Vikas Slathia son of Ravinder Singh resident of Gurah Morh, Vijaypur who is a hardcore criminal and involved in a number of criminal cases registered at P/S Vijaypur", he said, adding that a case vide FIR No. 125/2019 U/S 3/25 Arms Act has been registered at P/S Vijaypur and manhunt has been launched to nab the accused. |
