| RTO Kathua imposes fine of Rs 63000, Rs 52,000 on two vehicles | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Sept 13: Regional Transport Officer (RTO) Kathua Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa seized four vehicles under sections 207 of Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
The Vehicles include school buses which were violating provisions meant for safety and security of school children. The Vehicles seized are JK08C-4617, JK08E-4527, JK08A-7136 and JK08D-2469.
A total of Rs. 5.22 lakh fine has been imposed so far during Sept. 2019.
One of the vehicles, with registration no. AP31PB-5788 was imposed a fine of Rs. 63000/- under sections 113/194 of MV act and another with registration number RJ09GD-2928 was imposed a fine of Rs. 52000/- under sections 113/194 of Motor Vehicles Act 1988.
A total of 41 vehicles have been booked under various provisions of Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 during the last two days; out of which 27 vehicles were booked in Billawar during tour of the MVD team to Billawar.
Pertinent to mention here that there is increased rush of public for obtaining learners/ Driving License in the RTO offices during last few days. |
