Union Minister Jitendra Singh's statement on KPs return ill-conceived: PK
9/13/2019 10:01:49 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 13: Terming the recent statement of Union Minister of State in Prime Minister's Office, Dr Jitendra Singh on the return of Kashmiri Pandits (KPs) as preposterous and ill-conceived, Panun Kashmir (PK) has ridiculed him by saying where are the homes? As these have been either encroached by jihadis or sold in distress sales.
Dr Singh had said that there is no plan on return and rehabilitation of the community and they should return to their homes in their places in Kashmir.
Addressing the community members and activists on the eve of Martyrs Day (14th September), Vijay Bhat, president, Panun Kashmir lambasted Dr Jitendra Singh and said, "This statement exposes the policy premise of the Government when it comes to Kashmiri Pandit return and rehabilitation in Kashmir. Either the minister is naïve or he is being asked to float the balloons or the policy makers have taken the nationalist Kashmiri Pandits for granted."
"Kashmiri Pandits were subjected to genocide and religious cleansing by the Islamic jihadi separatist theo-fascists of Kashmir as they knew well that the community represents the seeds and anchors of the Sanskrit Indian civilization. Thus to dismember India in Kashmir, it is imperative to target the community and which they did with impunity. It ultimately led to the religious cleansing and genocide of the community in 1990," he added.
To reverse this genocide and religious cleansing, the Kashmiri Pandit community adopted the historic Margdarshan Resolution in 1991 that envisages a separate homeland with the union territory status in Kashmir. This is the only model that empowers the community politically, economically, religiously and upholds the Indian nation in Kashmir, Bhat said.
"Political-reorganization of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh is incomplete and anomalous till the Homeland for the Kashmiri Pandits is carved in Kashmir.Community rejects all other so called half-baked plans to destabilize the community and divide it. Minister's statement is a mischievous game plan to make the sacrifices of the community for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of India insignificant.BJP needs to explain is it the personal statement of the minister or the policy plank of the party on KPs," said Bhat.
Vijay Bhat also lambasted veteran BJP leader Chaman Lal Gupta for trivializing the KP genocide and asking the Kashmiri Pandits to return without any constitutional guarantees and upholding of human rights.
He said that 30 long years of struggle of Panun Kashmir is a nationalist activism of unparalleled example and KPs warn all quislings and show boys lay off from such dubious machinations. Nothing short of separate Homeland is acceptable to KPs. Modi government can't solve the problem of jihad without addressing the Kashmiri Pandit question and the solution lies in separate Homeland for Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir.
"Kashmiri Pandits are not cattle who can be dragged as per the whims and fancies of ill-informed policy makers who are just sycophants and lackeys of the subversives," he added.
