Display Your Talent " Rang Tarang Commences at JU

Jammu, Sept 13: RangTrang-Display Your Talent 2019', an annual feature of the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu was declared open today by Prof Manoj K. Dhar, Vice-Chancellor and Chief Guest of the event. This event is organized to provide a creative forum to artists in varied disciplines to showcase their talent. Students from the affiliated degree colleges and University departments participate in different competitions of music, dance, literary, fine-arts and theatrical activities. Prof. Vinayshil Gutam, an internationally acclaimed academician and Sh. Deepak Kumar, a veteran theatre director of J&K were the Guests of Honour at the inaugural function.
The event started with the lighting of lamp by Prof. Manoj K. Dhar, Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Meenakshi Kilam, Registrar, Prof. Jasbir Singh, Dean Students Welfare, Prof. Yash Pal Sharma, Chairman, Campus Cultural Committee, Prof. Anupama Vohra, Co-Chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee, Dr. Sapna Sangra, State Chairperson SPIC MACAY, Prof. Vinayshil Gutam, Deepak Kumar and Prof. R.K. Ganjoo, Director CDC, JU. Prof. Manoj Dhar, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu said that the University of Jammu is proud to host Display Your Talent, a cultural bonanza which attracts an active participation of students every year The event was coordinated by Dr. B.K. Bajaj (Associate Dean Students Welfare), Dr. Anil Gupta, Dr. Garima Gupta (Assistant Deans SW), Ms. Mansi Mantoo (Media Officer), Ms Ifra Kak (Cultural Officer) and Mr. Sumeet Sharma (Drama Instructor). The programme was witnessed by the members of Campus Cultural Committee, teachers, students, scholars of the University of Jammu and prominent members of the civil society. The programme was conducted by Seerat Baji. Shaharaza, Vaishali Magotra, Kusum, Vrinda, Harshmita, Alisha, Anup, Sahil and Mehul looked after the hall management.
Tomorrow, on 14 September, the events of Classical Vocal Solo, Classical Instrumental, Clay Modelling & Installation would be conducted at Brig. Rajinder Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu from 10:00 am onwards.
