| Div Com for taking strict action against encroachers | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 13: Divisional Commissioner, Sanjeev Verma today asked the concerned departments to take strict action against the encroachers of state land.
The Div Com issued these directions while chairing a meeting held to review the anti encroachment drive initiated by the district administration. The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Sushma Chauhan, Commissioner JMC, Pankaj Magotra, VC JDA, Vikas Sharma, and other concerned officers.
The Div Com asked the concerned departments to ensure no fresh construction is allowed along the banks of river Tawi. He directed them to issue notices to the encroachers issuing them strict warning for eviction of encroached state land.
The Div Com asked the DC Jammu to convene a meeting with concerned officers and constitute a core group to keep a watch over any fresh construction or encroachment over the state land along the banks of Tawi river.
He asked to establish a Police Post in the area to keep vigil on encroachment activities along Tawi River. |
