DC launches cleanliness drive in Reasi under Swachhta Hi Seva

Reasi, Sept 20: Deputy Commissioner, Indu Kanwal Chib, today launched a cleanliness drive at district headquarters under Swachhta Hi Seva campaign.
The DC and other officers and officials, working at district headquarters, collected and segregated a large quantity of waste and disposed it off.
While speaking to district officers and other officials, the Deputy Commissioner suggested them to make judicious use of paper and other office stationery and recycle it instead of discarding it away.
Reiterating her commitment against use of Single-Use-Plastic and plastic water bottles, the DC directed all the officers to refrain from using either of the two. "No plastic water bottles should be used in meetings and other events at the district headquarters', she cautioned the officesr.
The DC also announced that a best Block trophy would be awarded to the cleanest block of the district headquarters. She appreciated the office of District Agriculture Officer for its upkeep and tidiness.
A tree was also planted by the DC on the occasion.
Among others Additional Deputy Commissioner, Rajinder Sharma, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Vivek Puri, Assistant Commissioner Development, Sunil Sharma, District Panchayat Officer, Parvinder Kour and BDO Reasi, Sanjeev Sharma participated in the event.
