Jammu, Sept 20: As a part of major attempt to destabilize peace and tranquility in Kishtwar following the rumors; Kishtwar town and its adjoining areas today once again observed unannounced shutdown, 3rd Friday in a row over Kashmir lock down since last one and half month following the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35 A of the constitution and the authorities at the helm of the affairs are clueless about the people behind the scene.
As per the details available with Early Times, the Kishtwar District today once again observed a shutdown following rumor that attributing to various quarters regarding the shutdown call as a result of which the security in the Kishtwar town and its peripheral areas were beefed up to thwart any untoward incident.
All the shops and business establishment including private schools observed the shutdown.
The schools also followed the unannounced shutdown call after majority of the shops and business establishments in commercial hub of the District did not open their shops.
Various shopkeepers said that they were not aware about the persons or the organization who had issued the shutdown call, but they prefer to keep their shops closed to avoid any untoward incident.
They reitreated that they want to avoid any risk to their safety and security and hence preferred to put the shutters down.
Majority of public transport also remained off the road till Friday prayers which passed off peacefully. The senior officials continue to maintain silence over the issue and said that they are looking into the matter added that the persons behind spreading the rumors are being identified and whosoever will be found guilty will be dealt strictly.
Security forces have activated its intelligence units to unmask the people involved behind today's propaganda and chaos created among the peace loving people.
The sources said that Kishtwar police is working on credible leads that can help them to smash a major OGW network in Kishtwar town and its peripheral areas who are providing logestic support to these. Militants at the time they carried out terror strike in the heart of Kishtwar town.
