JAMMU, Sept 20: The Post-graduate Department of Orthopaedics, Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences and Hospital, Jammu in association with Jammu and Kashmir Orthopaedic Association and Department of Orthopaedics GMC Jammu organized 11th National Conference of Indian Orthopaedic Rheumatology Association (IORACON) in Jammu.
The conference is aimed to bring together the national and international Orthopaedic faculty to exchange their views on the latest developments in the field of Orthopaedic Rheumatology. This is for the first time an Orthopaedic national conference of this magnitude is being organized in Jammu.
Eminent national and local faculty participated in the conference and discussed the challenges and recent advances in the management of Rheumatological diseases. The magnitude of Rheumatological diseases is on the rise since the last couple of years, probably due to advancements in diagnostic; and with the good therapeutic outcome due to development of targeted management of diseases.
The Jammu and Kashmir Orthopaedic Association is very active in academic events and had organized many zonal and state-level conferences in the past couple of years.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Rajesh Gupta, Organising Secretary and HOD Orthopaedics ASCOMS and Hospital highlighted the importance and need of such academic activities to stay up to date.
