DDC Ramban inspects development works at Kanthi

RAMBAN, Sept 26: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Ramban, Nazim Zai Khan today conducted an extensive tour of Kanthi area to inspect progress of developmental works, public services and listened to the grievances of public.
The DDC was accompanied by the ADDC, Nawab Din, CEO, AH Fani, XEn’s of PWD, PDD and other district and sectoral officers.
The DDC visited the newly constructed Girls Hostel at Kanthi and directed PWD to complete allied works. The PHE and PDD functionaries were directed to ensure water and power supply to hostel as well as surrounding villages.
The RDD was directed to construct fencing wall and a Hall in the premises of Panchyat Garh Kanthi. The project construction agencies were directed to maintain Mehar to Kanthi Ganote road.
Later, the DC attended a camp attended by a Sarpanchs, Panchs and general public including women who put forth their demands and issues.
The DC gave full assurance to the public that their genuine demands would be redress on priority basis.
Later, the DDC also presides over an awareness programme under 'Swachhta Hi Seva' campaign at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Kanthi.
In his address, the DDC said that the aim of 'Swachhta Hi Seva' campaign is to sensitize and bring behavioural changes among the people towards cleanliness and sanitation.
The success of such programs depends on the active participation of people, her added.
He asked the student to come forward and play a pivotal role to eradicate use of plastic from markets, homes to save the earth.
