Ensure higher inclusion in pension schemes for unorganised workers: Centre tells J&K admin

Srinagar, Sept 26: The Centre has instructed the Jammu and Kashmir administration to ensure higher inclusion of people in flagship pension schemes for unorganised workers, besides assuring full cooperation to the state, in funding of all Central entrepreneurship schemes.
An official on Thursday said that a high-level meeting between the officers of the Union Ministry of Labour and Employment, and J&K Labour and Employment Department was held on Wednesday, to discuss the issues of Labour Department, Provident Fund Organisation, ESI Scheme/ESI Corporation and Employment Department, in view of Jammu and Kashmir Re-organisation Act 2019.
''The Union Ministry of Labour and Employment delegation was headed by Union Secretary of Labour and Employment Heeraralal Samariya. The delegation members include Additional Secretary Anurdah Prasad, DG ESIC Raj Kumar, CPFC Sunil Barthwal, Chief Labour Commissioner (Central) Rajan Verma, Additional CPFC K L Taneja, FA/CAO in EPFO Heemat Jain, Additional CPFC V Ranganathan, and Regional Director of ESIC, Jammu A K Rawat,'' he said.
He said the Central team discussed threadbare all the schemes/labour Acts operational in Jammu and Kashmir.
