| Locals search cops before raiding gangster's house | | |

Vijaypur, Sept 26: Police team led by the SHO reached the house of a notorious gangster of the area today to raid his house . But the gate was not opened. After which officer called his DSP. Because the people of the area had to ask the police whether they had permission to search inside.
On seeing this, many people had gathered outside the gangster's house who were asking the police to show the order to search. The matter became so hot that the SHO had to inform the top officials.
After that the DSP and Tehsildar of the area came on the spot.
The people were told that they had to search. The tehsildar said that search was to be conducted in his presence. But the people stood back again.
However the police officers conducted searches. They showed their own wallets to the people and only then could they go inside. After searching for a while, the police came back and left the spot. This entire drama lasted for about four hours.
This is the first time that the police had to first conduct a search on their own.
The gangster was not at home. Sources say that it was only after the order from higher ups that the police came to raid the house. |
