Jammu, Sept 26: To boost and revive sports activities in the region and to promote sports amongst the youth of the remote areas, the Panchayat Chak organised Dangal competition at Chak Bhalwal. The aim of conducting the event was to promote sportsman spirit and to effectively engage the youths.
Surinder Singh Gill, President Yuva Rajput Sabha was the chief guest on the occasion who distributed cash prizes among the winners and runners-up wrestlers, while Dangal Committee members Panch Babi, Tinu Singh Vice President YRS, Ex Sarpanch Mumtaz Choudhary, Happy Singh, Sarpanch Nasseb Singh, Arshad, Shivinder Bandral were also present on the occasion. Around 20 bouts were held in the event and winners were awarded with cash prizes, with Rs 11,000 and Bruj for the winner and cash rewards for the runners-up wrestler.
Gilli expressed their gratitude towards the Panchayat in its endeavours to motivate the youth of the region towards taking up sports and ushering bonhomie. |
