Kathua, September 27: Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Raghav Langer today paid a surprise visit to the Regional Transport Office Kathua and inspected functioning of its various sections.
During the visit, Dr. Langer inspected learning license section, vehicle registration section, planning section, motor vehicles inspector section, record room and High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) section. He was apprised in detail of their functioning.
The DC along with ARTO, Kuldeep Singh, also inspected the periphery of the office building to check the general upkeep in and around the building and facilities available for the visitors. He also enquired about trial ground where driving tests for fresh driving licenses are being conducted.
Regarding expansion of RTO office, DC directed the Revenue authorities to check the status of land behind the office complex so that the transfer of land can be taken up at the appropriate forum. He also discussed various ways to provide the services of RTO to the residents living at far flung areas of Bani and Basholi by organizing camps to facilitate students and females of that area.
Later, the DC interacted with the visitors at the office and asked them to share their problems related to functioning of the office, if any. |
