Jammu, September 27: Divisional Commissioner, Sanjeev Verma today asked the Deputy Commissioners to speed up the process for identification of land for development projects including construction of newly sanctioned college campuses.
He was chairing a meeting to review the progress on land acquisition cases for various departments and development projects.
The meeting was attended by ACR Jammu, Sub Divisional magistrate of R S Pura, Jammu South, Akhnoor, Marh, Khour besides collector, Housing Board, PHE, PDD, PWD and other concerned officers while Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Rajouri, Reasi, Udhampur and Ramban attended the meeting through video conferencing.
The Div Com sought details of land acquisition cases for court complexes in districts, Ring Road, colleges, solid waste management plants and other development projects.
The DCs apprised the Div Com of present status of land requisition, acquisition cases in their respective districts.
The Div Com also discussed land acquisition cases of Ring Road and cases pertaining to various departments and development projects. The SDMs informed the Div Com about the progress on each case in their areas of jurisdiction.
It was informed that in most of the cases awards have been issued and pending cases are in process.
The Div Com directed the concerned officers to resolve the pending cases of acquisition at the earliest. |
