Debate on "Impact of single use plastic on environment" held at PHMHS Ramban

RAMBAN, Sept 30: Paryas Hemkrish Model High School (PHMHS), Ramban organised a debate competition at PHMHS in collaboration with Navyug Margdarshan Society Ramban on the topic "Impact of single use plastic on environment" in which Sarpanch Maitra -A Mohinder Singh was the chief guest on the occasion.
Around 10 students participated in the debate competition in which Salma Bahar adjudged overall best while Suman Katoch and Vedika Kamakshi clenched 2nd and 3rd position in the competition.
Speaking on this occasion chief guest through light on the evil affects of polythene in the society and advised the students to aware their parents and other peoples of the society about its adverse result of polythene use.
A pledge was also administered to the students by the chef guest "Hum Sub Loog Yeah Ahad Kartay Hay Ke Hum Apnay Ghar, Gali, Mohalay, Shahar Aur Moulkhko Polythene Say Azadd Kar Kay Rahay Ghay". Meanwhile Zakir Hussain Naik, Irfan Katoch, Neelu Kumari and Ravinder Kour were acted as judge while Suman Katoch and Syara Katoch host the event.
Principal S K Atri and Vice Principal Sarfaraaz Katoch of host school were also spoke on the topic. It is really a great & bold step to ban single plastic, because it was the most polluted item, when enters into oceans and killing marine, then enter into the food chain and disturb the whole process of living organisms on the earth, they added.
They further said that there is great need to change our mind set towards the use of plastic and adopt alternate option in replacement of plastic which is not harmful for us. Later winners and participants were awarded by the chief guest.
