Jammu, Sept 30: A joint cleaning drive in respect of single use plastic waste was launched today in Bari Brahmana Industrial Complex under the Prime Minister's campaign on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, with the collaboration of Department of Industries & Commerce, Jammu and Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA).
While welcoming the General Manger DIC along with her team, Officials of JKSPCB & Members of Industrial Fraternity, Lalit Mahajan, President, BBIA, appreciated steps taken by Industries Department to educate the industrial fraternity with an appeal to all that let us pledge not to use single use plastic goods to save environment and save Jammu and Kashmir from the menace of single use plastics to full fill the mission of Prime Minister in respect of "Swachha Hi Seva".
General Manager, DIC, Jammu Namrita Dogra also requested the members to discontinue the manufacturing of products related to single use plastic by adopting other manufacturing process for the manufacturing of Biodegradable products in near future to Save Environment.
