| DIC organized awareness program on sexual violence against children | | |  Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Oct 6: The District Information Center (DIC) in collaboration with department of Child Protection organizes an awareness program on the topic of protection of children from sexual violence beside a cultural program on the theme Beti Bachawoo Beti Parawoo was also held to give awareness to the participants on "Girl Child".
As per the details available with "Early Times", as many as 30 students from various Schools of Kishtwar took part and delivered their lectures on the said topic.
Touseef Iqbal Bhat, Child Protection Officer from ICPS Department also delivered his lecture and familiar the students about the POCSO Act that specially deals with the Child related crimes including sexual violence against the Children. A color full cultural program in coloboration with cultural cell Kishtwar was also presented by the local artist and school children on the theme Beti Bachao Beti Padao which was witnessed by more than hundred students of the institution and other school who participated in the program.
Principal of HSS Girls Kishtwar Kishori Lal who president over the function appreciated the role of information and ICPS Department for organizing these types program in school premises and assured all possible help to them in future as well and laid the stress on both departments to organize more such programs in future.
On the bases of performance, Miss Nidhi Rathore bags 1st prize, while Vanshika got 2nd position and Arpna Sharma and Anjana Thakur share 3rd position jointly. |
