| Sarpanches, Panches criticize RDD for showing ST population in Satwari | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 7: Sarpanches and Panches of Satwari block have castigated the Rural Development Department (RDD) for showing Scheduled Tribe (ST) population in block Satwari.
Addressing media persons at Gangyal, Sarpanches and Panches criticized the behaviour and attitude of RDD Jammu who have misguided them by showing the wrong data of ST population in Block Satwari in the Notification No.02 of 2019 dated 31.07.2019 which is presented in the print media dated 01.08.2019.
They said that they approached Director RDD Sudershan Kumar Verma and District Panchayat Officer Suniana Saini for wrong publication of the ST women and total population of Block Satwari in a newspaper but they just said that they would see but did nothing.
"Some officials of RDD showed the wrong data of population of Block Satwari in which they showed 23.80% ST population while as per the actual recorded provided by the BDO Satwari it has been shown as 16.57% ST intentionally to keep this block reserved for the ST women which is a shear conspiracy hatched by the RDD", they said and demanded impartial enquiry in the matter and action against the officials.
Among others there were Sarpanch S.Avtar Singh, Sarpanch S.Balvinder Singh, Sarpanch Kashmira Singh, Ex Sarpanch S.Shamsher Singh and Panch Ravinder Singh and others. |
