BJP gets setback in BDC elctions in Udhampur, JKNPP emerges largest party

Udhampur, Oct 24: Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) gets set back in JK's First ever Block Development Council (BDC) election in District Udhampur only get 04 Seats out of 17 Seats. While Jammu and Kashmir National Panther Party emerge as a Largest Party in BDC Election won 08 Seats and second number Independent Candidates won Five Seats.
The electoral exercise, the first in the state after abrogation of its special status, was boycotted by the Congress, the National Conference and the PDP. Its need to be mentioned here that there are 58 Candidates are in election fray, in 17 Blocks of District Udhampur and 2072 Voters decided there Fate.
List of Panther Party candidate who won the BDC Election Chanunta Block Geeta Devi, Jaganoo Block Sanjeet Kumar, Khoon Block Om Parkash, Kulwanta Block Sushma Devi, Latti - Marothi Block Darshan Kumar, Majalta Block Dina Nath, Parli Dhar Block Neelam Devi, Ramnagar Block Des Raj.
List of Independent Candidates who won the BDC Election Chenani Block Parkash Chand, Narsoo Block Sardaran Begum, Sewna block Subash Chander, Tikri Block Nisha Devi, Moungri block Bimla Devi and list of BJP candidates who won BDC Election Dudu-Basantgarh Block Kewal Singh, Ghordi Block Arti Sharma, Panchari Block Jeevan Kumar, & Udhampur Block Balwan Singh.
