Jammu, Oct 30: Jammu Sanskriti School (JSS) Jammu conducted garden survey and power point presentation as a part of ISA Curriculum.
According to press release to apprise children about flora prevalent in India, Indonesia and Bhutan, a garden survey was conducted in the school precincts under the vigilance of Rashi Gupta and Poonam (science teachers) wherein the children were enlightened about various types of flora namely Herbs, Shrubs, Creepers, Climbers, Trees and their distinguished characteristics.
It is pertinent to mention here that apart from survey, PowerPoint presentation was also organized in which the Sanskritians accentuated the differences and similarities found in flora of three countries i.e India, Bhutan and Indonesia. During this power point presentation Rashi Gupta (Teacher incharge) and children of classes 8th and 9th ensured the presence of real flora for better conceptualization.
These two activities were culminated by critical analysis of topographical conditions on the growth of these plants and exchange of letters with partner schools. All the activities are supervened as an ISA curriculum under the aegis of British Council. Congratulating the teacher in charge and children for their efforts and splendid presentation Rohini Aima, Principal cum Vice-Chairperson of the school asserted that such activities have become mandatory for the real adoption of the concept of global village.
