The meeting was attended by the office bearers and members. During the course of meeting the participants have expressed their grave concern and anguish for stopping sugar supplies to the Relief Holder Migrants for past few months. Shadi Lal Pandit while addressing the participants has said that Government had been kind enough to sanction Cash Assistance Relief to the Migrants under Relief category with extending ration facilities @ 9kg Rice, 2 kg Atta per soul as per ration card and 1 kg Sugar per family. Pandita has said that the Relief holder migrants were availing the facilities of ration supplies with 1 kg sugar supplies regularly but for past few months the sugar supply @1kg per Ration card has been stopped without assigning any reason there of which has put the migrants (Relief holders to lot of sufferings) as they have got no any other source of income except cash assistance relief and ration being supplied to them. Pandita has demanded that Lt. Governor, G.C. Murmu should intervene into personally for ensuring restoring sugar supplies to the Relief Holder Migrants at an earliest. Pandita has reiterated his demand that the present cash assistance relief is not sufficient to meet the day to day domestic needs of a relief holder family as such has demanded enhancing relief assistance to the tune of Rs. 25000/- per family per month against Rs. 13000/- per family per month.
