| Dogra Degree College organizes Guest Lecture | | |  Early Times Report
Samba, Nov 4: Dogra Degree College organized a Guest Lecture on the topic Impact of Modern Agricultural Practices on Environment for the staff and students on 4th Nov 2019 in the college Auditorium. The resource person for the day was DR. ANIL K RAINA, Prof. Environmental Studies & Rector Bhaderwah Campus.
In his Lecture Prof. Raina developed a critical understanding of the impact of modern agricultural techniques on the environment. In his presentation he elaborated the major environmental hazards which have been caused by aggressive farming using machineries, hybrid variety of seeds, pesticides, weedicides & fertilizers. He not only threw light on the problems caused by these practices but also suggested remedial measures to make good the damage which has been done.
The audience showed great enthusiasm and actively participated in the deliberations of the Guest Lecture. It was a fruitful knowledge sharing experience. The doubts and queries of the students were also addressed by the resource person Prominent among those present on the occasion were Kr. Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary, Dogra Educational Trust, Col. Kamal Padha (Retd.), Director Adm & Campus Dev. The Programme earlier started with the welcome address by Bela Thakur, Principal Dogra Degree College. The stage was conducted by Ms. Aditi Khajuria, Lecturer, Dogra Degree College and vote of thanks was moved by Neha Verma. The function concluded with the singing of the National Anthem. |
