KISHTWAR, Nov 4: A team of officers led by Assistant Labour Commissioner (ALC) today visited Pakkal -Dul Dam site - Dangduroo and inspected the amenities being provided to the workers there.
During the course of inspection, the ALC interacted with the labourers which included skilled, semi- skilled & unskilled workers and enquired about the facilities provided to them by the company. While inspecting the Mess, he instructed the project authorities to constitute a mess Committee with members of labour class to ensure that hygienic and quality food is served to the workers. He also directed to display the mess menu on the Notice board of both messes at Dangduroo and Pinjrari for the information of the workers. The officers also enquired about the minimum wages provided to the labourers, Muster roll, overtime register, paid holiday, wage-slip, register of wages, register of overtime, Employment certificate, service certificate & display of information at conspicuous places/ Notice boards by the employer.
The ALC called upon the company to implement the labour laws in letter and spirit and providing all facilities as per these laws to the workers. |
