Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 4: Kashmiri Pandit Organisations Alliance (KPOA) welcomed Girish Chandra Murmu , the first LG of new Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. KPOA is the amalgamation of multiple Kashmiri Pandit organizations all over country. We express our solidarity with the Indian frame of constitution and proposed implementation in the new union. KPOA has wished success to the L.G. for bringing normalcy and development in Kashmir. KPOA has urged L.G. to take concrete initiative for dignified and honorable return & rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits living as refugees in their own country from last 30 years. KPOA has demanded that all property of Kashmiri Pandits, which they owned before 1990's , should be returned to them under Distress Sales Act. Alliance of KP organizations has also demanded the one time compensation against loss of property , jobs and trade for these exiled decades . KPOA has also demanded justice against Genocide and Islamic Radiclization which Kashmiri Pandits faced in 1990's. KPOA has urged Hon L.G. that now Government should act and take a final and concrete decision for the exiled community, which has been ignored by all Governments so far. KPOA has clearly asked govt.of India and L.G of J&K that Kashmiri Pandits have their special category from 10000years history which should not be affected by aborgation of 370/35A or Ut status of state. Kashmiri pandits also deserve their special status ofminority which cant be compromised at all. And share in political area and other fields is also now fundamental right of kp commynity as well. KPS will not accept any type of demolition of their community status due to UT and should be considered as a special status community on factual grounds and their history.
