KATHUA, Nov 4: District Level Consultative Committee meeting (DCC) today reviewed the extent of crop loss (%age) due to prevailing disturbances/circumstances in the district. The meeting was chaired by District Development Commissioner (DDC), O.P Bhagat and attended by representatives of NABARD, JK bank and other financial institutions, besides officials of Agriculture, SC/ST Corporation and Fisheries departments. At the outset, the LDM, Narain Singh informed the participants about the agenda points and progress achieved under different schemes.
The DDC directed the departments, particularly the Agriculture Department to submit the extent of %age of crop losses occurred due to prevailing disturbances/circumstances. He directed all the concerned departments and bankers to provide data of losses in terms of new RBI circular.
He advised the bankers to sanction loan cases liberally for generation of self employment in rural areas to the eligible entrepreneurs. To increase maximum coverage, bankers should organize awareness camps in remote areas informing the participants about different Govt. schemes, DDC asked the bankers. |
