Court work hits as lawyers on indefinite strike

Jammu, Nov 4 : Today on first day of reopening Durbar Move, the work in the Common High Court of JK & Ladakh UT at Jammu suffered as the lawyers on indefinite strike. Today is the second day when the Court work remains suffered.
The J&K High Court Bar Association Jammu Wing on November 1, 2019 in the General House Meeting under the Chairmanship of its President Adv Abhinav Sharma decided to go on idefinite strike on the issue of divesting of registration of documents from Judicial Officers and Shifting of High Court from Janipur to Raika.
Meanwhile J&K High Court Bar Association in an emergent meeting under the chairmanship of its Vice President Rohit Bhagat condemned he brutal attack of Delhi Police on Advocates at Tis Hazari Court, New Delhi
On Monday work remain suspended for the first day in District & Session Court Kathua including all other subordinate courts of the District Kathua and complete shutdown observed there on the call of two days work suspend, given by District Bar Association Kathua in support of J&K High Court Bar Association over the giving of transfer of powers of registration to revenue authorities.
The members of the Bar Association led by President of District Bar Association Kathua Advocate Ajat Shatru Sharma also sit on a massive Dharna in the premises of District & Sessions Court Kathua and protest against the decision of Government to transfer of registration powers to revenue authorities after taking it from judicial officers. The members also raised sloganeering in favour of their demands (JNF)
