Sunakshi adjudged best speaker at DIPR's symposium cum cultural programme

Jammu, Nov 16: The Cultural Wing of Department of Information & Public Relations (DIPRs), Jammu today organized Symposium cum Cultural Programme on "Single Use Plastic Ban: Is this Solution to the Menace?" at Govt. Girls Model Higher Secondary School, Mubarak Mandi.
The Principal of the host school, Anita Zutshi was the chief guest on the occasion.
In all, 17 students of the host school deliberated upon the topic and expressed their views.
Sunakshi Gupta student of class 12 was adjudged best speaker while Nafeesa Salim & Aneesa Salim both students of class 11 shared second position and Manya Pandoh student of class 10 secured third position. The participants were awarded prizes and certificates of merit.
Appreciating the efforts of Cultural Wing of DIPRs, the Principal of the school, said that such events in the educational institutions play a vital role in generating awareness among the students as well as masses to make India free of single-use plastics.
Zutshi urged the department to organize more such programmes in the future.
On the occasion, the artists of Cultural Wing Jammu presented a scintillating cultural programme on the topic for generating awareness about single use plastic ban.
Lecturers, Satvinder Kour, Kamalpreet Kour and Rekha were judges in the programme. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Senior Artist, Suresh Kumar. Later, the participants were awarded prizes by the chief guest.
Among others, Drama Instructor DIPRs, Vijay Anand, senior artists of Information Department, Staff Members and large number of the students were also present on the occasion.
