| DDC reviews progress on languishing projects | | |

UDHAMPUR, Dec 6: District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Dr. Piyush Singla today convened a meeting with district officers of various department to review the sector wise progress of languishing projects of the district at DC Office Complex Udhampur.
Detailed discussions were held on various issues like current status of approved languishing projects -progress as per timeline, uploaded bills of approved projects, physical and financial progress of languishing projects, achievement made in approval of languishing projects in pipeline, progress of languishing project through proper channel etc.
During the meeting, DDC took scheme wise review of languishing projects under taken by different departments and funded under the languishing projects in the district. District heads of various departments informed the meeting about the status of languishing projects taken up in their respective sectors. While speaking on the occasion, DDC sought the physical as well as financial progress from the concerned executing agencies of all the languishing projects. He impressed upon the officers to speed up the pace of work on these projects and ensure the completion of the languishing projects within time bound manner.
DDC directed the executing departments to mobilize their men and machinery so that all projects shall be completed within given time frame. DDC asked the concerned departments to display the chart as per timeline. Expressing concern over delay in various works which leads to cost escalation, DDC exhorted upon the officers to work in tandem with other agencies for timely completion of various projects. |
