Painting competition held at Government Polytechnic

Jammu, Dec 6: Government Polytechnic Bikram Chowk Jammu organized a painting competition to mark the World Aids day, to spread awareness among the staff and students of the institute.
Er. Arun Bangotra, Principal of the institute was the chief guest on the occasion. While enlightening all the staff and students present on the occasion, he highlighted the slogan of AIDS for this year 2019 that "Communities Makes a Difference". He also emphasized on the First Knowing AIDS and then saying NO to AIDS. On the occasion Painting competition and Signature Campaign was organized by the college. More than 25 students participated in the Painting competition with great zeal and enthusiasm and expressed their thought through paintings.
The first prize in Painting Competition was won by Vanshika Sharma of IRG Scheme. The second and third prize was won by Rizwana Hamid student of 5th Semester Electrical and Girish Kumar, student of 1st Semester Civil Engineering Department. A Nukkad Natak on the theme "SAY NO TO AIDS" was presented by the Civil and Architecture Engg Students.
The Nukkad Natak was presented at different locations of the college campus by the students. The voluntaries of NSS Unit of Government Polytechnic Jammu designed a graffiti for the day using waste plastic bottles collected from all over the campus. The members of the organizing Committee were Er. Ajay Thapa, Er. Sanam Gupta , Er. Akash Dasgotra, Er. Vandana Chib, Er. Itika Sharma. Er Jasdeep Kaur, Lecturer I&C conducted the proceedings of the programme. Others present on the occasion were Er Inderjeet Singh, Er Kuldeep Bhatia, Er Sanjay Gupta, Er Sukhdeep Singh, Er Vinay Gupta, Er Rajiv Kohli, and all HODs, Staff and students of the college.
