DC Reasi inaugurates 2-day science exhibition

Reasi, Dec 12: Deputy Commissioner Indu Kanwal Chib today inaugurated 2-day District Level Science Exhibition under Samagra Shiksha Scheme at District Institute of Education and Trainings.
Chief Education Officer Reasi, Mushtaq Ahmad was the Guest of Honour at the occasion.
Students from 43 government schools of the district presented scientific models and charts in the exhibition.
The DC called upon the teachers to inculcate scientific temper in students to help them generate innovative ideas. Appreciating the successful conduct of the exhibition, the DC also suggested that more such exhibitions be organised at various zonal levels of the district.
Appreciating the scientific acumen of some students, the DC asked them to work further in their area of interest and assured them that suitable assistance would be provided by the administration in furthering their scientific projects. She also asked the students to create working prototypes of their projects at their respective schools with assistance of the district administration.
DC also spoke on Menstrual Health Management and said that 91 government schools across the district have already been provided with sanitary pad vending machines and incinerators and more would be provided subsequently. She also appreciated the role of Principal DIET, Om Parkash in organising the event.
