Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 12: Editor, Early Times, Munish Gupta, on Thursday said that people of Jammu need to get united to end injustice and discrimination they are facing since 1947.
Carrying forward his mass contact programme in Rani Talab, Digiana Munish said, "It is unfortunate that people of Jammu have faced discrimination during the past seven decades as our elected representatives during all these years failed to do much for the people."
Munish, who would be contesting the forthcoming Assembly elections as an independent candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency, said, "Now the time has come to change our destinies. But we have to strive hard for securing a better future. This could only be possible with the combined efforts of all Jammuites."
Munish said, "The next assembly elections to be held for the first time in the newly created Union Territory of J&K will be fought on the agenda of development."
He said that people need to think twice before exercising their right to franchise in the next assembly elections. "Do the leaders, who represented us so far, deserve to get elected again?" Munish asked.
He urged people not to get influenced by mere sloganeering. Make a new beginning towards changing the destiny of Jammu by voting for better candidates, who have vision and sincerity to serve masses.
