Agri deptt organizes training programme for farmers

reasi, Dec 12: In order to acquaint farmers of remotest Panchayat Deote of District Reasi about crop production technology, Department of Agriculture District Reasi organized a training programme for farmers at village Sujanpur.
The camp was organized under the guidance of Chief Agriculture officer Onkar Singh Chowdary and SDAO Mohan Lal Sharma in which Subject Matter Specialists of Department Neeraj Rajwal and Deepak Singh delivered technical lecture to about 50 farmers attending the program.
Deepak Singh made aware farmers about recent interventions in wheat production technology for increasing production of wheat. He said farmers have to adopt new interventions made in the field of Agriculture in order to get production up to expectations. He also given emphases to adopt Integrated farming sytem to get handsome income throughout the year.
Neeraj Rajwal made aware farmers about importance of soil testing & use of balanced dose of fertilizer for restoring soil fertility & sustainable crop production. Rajwal said its a issue of serious concern that our productive land is deteriorating day by day and in order to prevent it from all odds farmers need to made their Soil tested from Soil testing laboratory of the department and apply fertilizers strictly on soil health card recommendations.
Sushil Suri, AEO Pouni made aware farmers about departmental schemes & quantum of departmental assistance admissible various components. Sarpanch Kewal Krishan raised various issues related to farming community & thanked departmental officers for organising training program with hope to get issues resolved . Among others JAEO ,AEAs of zone Pouni & PRI members also participated.
