| PSA Jammu demands exemption in rules to register workers in EPFO | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 19: Private Schools Association (PSA) of Jammu Division has said that private schools had been working for the welfare of mankind and rendering yeomen service but now they have becoming a prey to capricious and tyrannical rules being perpetuated by the insensitive administration of newly created Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir which seems to be in hurry. Addressing a press conference here today, president PSA, Kamal Gupta; vice president PSA Rameshwar Mengi and general secretary PSA Ajay Gupta demanded from the government of J&K that as per Ministry of Labour & Employment for the registration in EPFO more than 20 workers are required. The notification circulated on October 31, 2019 is contradictory adding that exempt all establishments which have engaged less than twenty workers in newly created UT. Enforce all central rules at the same time in the entire Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and maintain status quo till uninterrupted net connectivity is established. General Secretary of the Association, Ajay Gupta appealed to all Employers of J&K who have less than twenty employees not to deposit contribution hastily in central EPFO as all such establishments do not fall in the criteria fixed under The Employees Provident Fund Scheme, 1952. They also demanded to relax all private schools from NOC from Traffic Police department as all commercial vehicles / passenger vehicles plying in the entire country in which more than 90% students travel are exempted from such an NOC. |
