DDC reviews progress of languishing projects under Education sector

DODA, Dec 19: District Development Commissioner, Doda Dr Sagar D Doifode today convened a meeting to review the status of the languishing projects under Education department.
The DDC took scheme-wise physical and financial review of progress on projects undertaken by education department and funded under the languishing project scheme. He also reviewed the technical sanctioning, administrative approval and tendering progress of several projects.
DDC reviewed the progress of ongoing works of KGBV buildings at Assar, Thathri and Nai Dangri approved under languishing scheme.
The DDC was informed by the executing agencies that the KGBV building at Nai Dangri has reached up to roof level, only the plaster and truss work is pending. The DDC has set the timeline of 1st April 2020 for its 100% completion.
While reviewing the progress of KGBV building at Thathri, the DDC was apprised that the work of first floor has been completed and the work on second floor is under progress. DDC directed the executing agency to complete the work before first week of June.
About Assar, the DDC was apprised that the plinth has been completed and the tender is out already. He directed to start the work within two days and shall be completed and handed over under the fixed timeline for its proper functioning.
Further he has also asked the executing agencies to complete one room in every 15 days at Thathri and Nai Dangri in every aspect, which shall be handed over to the concerned department.
The DDC directed the concerned department to ensure the completion of languishing projects before the targeted timeline as the physical and financial progress of the same is monitored by High Level Committee.
The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning Parshotam Kumar, ACD Doda Akhter Hussain Qazi, CEO Doda Tariq Hussain, and Executive Engineer REW besides officials of concerned engineering wing.
