RAMBAN, Dec 19: District Legal Services Authority Ramban today organized a legal awareness camp on Solid Waste Management, Restriction on use of Polythene and Water Conservation at village Dhalwas under the supervision of Chairman DLSA, Ramban, Kishore Kumar.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman DLSA sensitized the public about the pollution caused by generating of Solid waste, Polythene and its bad effects on the health of the people.
DLSA also organized a demonstration programme to impart techniques to participants regarding how to dispose off garbage generated out of the households in rural areas by digging pits and put the disposable solid waste in these pits.
After segregating, cover the pits by soil and after sometime the same disposable solid waste can be used as manure after decomposition.
The Sarpanch of the area and speakers also highlighted the various schemes launched by the government for the benefits of disabled persons and also impressed up on the gathering to take maximum benefits of these Schemes. |
