| DPS celebrates water conservation day | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 19: Delhi Public School, Jammu organized 'Water Conservation Day' under the aegis of CBSE HPE (SEWA Activity) for the students of class XII. The event began with two documentary films on 'Water' & 'Neer' depicting the problem of water shortage especially in drought prone areas. The films also exhibited the concern over water and sanitization issues and suggested how to keep the water safe & clean in order to prevent diarrhea and water borne diseases. Students watched the films with keen interest.
It was followed by Group Discussion on the fact of acute water shortage and hence required more recharge, recycle and reuse of waste water with safe disposal. Later, a Question Answer Session was conducted by Ms. Sheetal Kohli based on the understanding of the students about the films. The students also wrote beautiful slogans and prepared relevant posters on the theme discussed giving them opportunity to express their feelings about the crucial issue and assurance that they will act upon it. |
