Maharashtra requires 172 runs on day four to seal the game

Srinagar, Dec 19: Maharashtra team needs 172 runs on the final day of the Ranji match against Jammu and Kashmir team after J&K had set a target of mammoth 364 runs before being bowled for 263 runs in second innings.
Jammu and Kashmir team resumed the day on the score of 155 for the loss of four wickets and had a lead of over 253 runs. J&K team added 110 runs to the score and lost all the six wickets setting a target of 364 runs in more than 150 overs.
Suryansh Raina was first to go on the score of 83 runs, he hit eleven 4's in his second inning score. Owais' wicket fell on 205, Ram Dayal fell on score 245 runs, Abid Mushtaq on 251, Mudhasir on 251 and last wicket Abdul Samad on 263 runs. DR Deshmukh took four wickets for host Maharashtra conceding 46 runs in 14.3 over's.
Chasing a score of 364 runs, both the openers of Maharashtra came heavily on Jammu and Kashmir bowlers. Bowlers of Jammu and Kashmir failed to take wickets just like in first innings. Both the openers had a 108 runs partnership before R D Gaikwad's wicket was taken by Umar Nazir.
A B Dandekar was next to fall on 177 runs, Trunkwala on 131, Shaikh on 162 runs and Tripathi was last to go on the score of 192 runs before the day was called off.
Earlier Maharashtra won the toss and opted to field first. Jammu and Kashmir scored 209 runs in the first inning.
While host Maharashtra was bundled out for 109 runs giving a lead of over 100 to J&K in second innings.
Scorecard, Maharashtra 109 first innings, 192/5 needs 172 runs on the fourth day against J&K 209 first inning, second inning 263.
