7th Jammu district Sambo championship held

Jammu, Dec 20: The 7th Jammu district Sambo championship was organized at Cambridge International School, Purkhoo Camp, Jammu. Sambo Association, Jammu & Kashmir (Affiliated with Sambo Federation Of India) is holding its 3 day, SAMBO Championship 2019 from 19th Dec., 2019 to 21st Dec. A total of 150 participants from 10 schools are participating in the said championship. Parents of the participants were also present to witness the performances of their wards on the first day of the championship.
Chairman Er. Vidhi .S.Singh was the chief guest where as Thakur S.D.S Jamwal, Vice Chairman and Er. Renu Bangroo, Managing Director of Cambridge International School , were the Guest of Honour. Ms. Niayti of Cambridge International School welcomed all the dignitaries, SAMBO officials, parents and the participants. On its very first day of championship, the participants in different weight categories, both boys and girls, showed outstanding skills of SAMBO wrestling. Rattan Singh, Sports teacher of Cambridge International School, officiated as Event Secretary of the championship. President, Sanjeev Jamwal (International Gold medalist), Gen. Secretary, Rohit Sadhotra (Senior Judo Player) of The J&K Sambo Association were also present to witness the ongoing championship. Rohit Sadhotra, Gen. Secretary of the association will be referee of the tournament.

Medals to the winners of SAMBO Championship 2019 will be awarded on the concluding day of 21st Dec.2019 at Cambridge International School, Purhkoo, Domana , Jammu. However, 6 National Medalists and CBSE North Zone Judo Medalists were awarded with the Mementoes by the Chief Guest, Er. Vidhi S. Singh.
