Roads Safety & Simula Club emerges winner

Jammu, Dec 29: Road & safety Department and Simula Cricket Club registered their empathetic win against their opponents and entered in the next stage of "AOI Christmas T20 Cricket Championship"
In the first match Road & Safety Department XI defeated Secretariat Blues XI by 7 wickets. Batting first Secretariat Blues XI scored 106 runs for all wickets in 18 overs with Mushtak 29 and Mehraj 24 runs. From bowling side Asif took 3 wickets, Majit and Showkat took 2 wickets each while RK Bhat, Vinay and Yasir took 1 wicket each. In reply Road Safety Club chased the target in 12 overs by losing 3 wickets thus won the match by 7 wickets. Ladda 35, Mohd. Asif 22 and Yasir 21 runs were the main scorers. From bowling side Asif took 2 wickets, while Imtiaz took 1 wicket. Mohd. Asif was adjudged as Man of the Match.
In another match Simula Cricket Club defeated Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor by 7 wickets.
Batting first Singh Cricket Club scored 110 runs for the loss of all wickets in the allotted 19.1 overs with Sunil 30 runs, Abhishek 20 and Chandan 14 were the main scorers. From bowling side Rajat took 4 wickets, Ankit took 3 wickets while Akash,Raman Dutta and Ritik took 1 wicket each. In reply Simula Cricket Club chased the target in 15.1 overs with Ankit 29, Manjeet 24 and Mohit 20 runs.
