Chhattisgarh score 270/4, rains spoils day 2

JAMMU, Jan 28: Despite taking wicket on the score of 3 runs, Jammu and Kashmir bowlers were thrashed throughout the day by the batsman of Chhattisgarh as the later scored 270 on day for the loss of four wickets in a Ranji Match.
However, not a single ball was bowled on the second day of the match as heavy precipitation was witnessed in the Jammu where the match is being played at Science College ground.
Jammu and Kashmir won the toss and opted to bowl first which turned out to be good toss to loss for the host Chhattisgarh team. Chhattisgarh lost first wicket in the shape of Rishabh Tiwari who scored golden duck.
Auqib Nabi took the wicket of Tiwari. Then it was the 68 runs partnership between J Singh and Abhimanyu Chauhan. And, it was the Abid Mushtaq who broke the partnership of Singh and Chauhan. Then it was the well played knock of the captain Harpreet Singh who scored a brilliant century and took team to a big total.
He managed to score 116 runs of 196 balls which included 16 boundaries at a strike rate of 59.18. J Singh and Harpreet Singh both had a partnership of 86 runs. Captain Singh continued to have bat and had another 110 runs partnership with Amandeep Khane.
Singh fell to the captain of Jammu and Kashmir’s captain Parvez Rasool while Amandeep is still on the crease. All this happened on day one of the Ranji Match. While as the day two of the match was called due to the wet outfield and not a single ball was bowled.
Jammu and Kashmir had brought one change; Waseem Raja was playing instead of Mohammed Mudhasir. The move did not well with Jammu and Kashmir as he conceded runs on the economy of 3 runs per over.
For Jammu and Kashmir, Abdul Samad, Parvez Rasool, Abid Mushtaq and Auqib Nabi took one wicket each. Jammu and Kashmir is already on the top of the Elite C Group with 5 games won out of 6 games and one draw.
