Jammu, Jan 28: Taking a lead in strengthening the Mathematical capabilities of the next generation of problem solvers, students of class VIII of Delhi Public School Jammu participated in the online MAA’s (Mathematical Association of America) American Mathematics Competition-8 held in the month of November, 2019.
This competition provides an opportunity for middle school students to develop positive attitude towards Analytical Thinking & Mathematics that can assist in their future careers.
Shalin Sawhney (VIII-E) bagged the 1st position in the competition followed by Madhav Vaid (VIII-F) at 2nd position and Sabhyata Sethi (VIII-F) at 3rd position while other students received Merit and Participation Certificates. A Special Certificate of Merit was also awarded to the school by Mathematical Association of America in recognition for the diligent participation, hardwork and meritorious performance of the students.
Principal, DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra congratulated all students, their parents and wished them good luck for their future endeavours. Headmistress, Meenu Gupta also appreciated them. President, RCT, M.K Ajatshatru Singh, Kunwrani Ritu Singh and Director, S.S Sodhi extended their best wishes to the students, their parents, staff and School Maths Faculty.
