Model Training Course concludes

Jammu, Jan 29: The eight days Model Training Course (MTC) on “Agribusiness Development Planning and Management” concluded today at Division of Agricultural Economics and ABM, SKUAST-Jammu.
The training was attended by twenty one officers of the Agriculture, Horticulture, Marketing and allied departments of J&K, Haryana and Bihar.
During the MTC, the experts from different prestigious institutes of the country were invited to deliver their valuable lectures on different aspects of Agribusiness Development Planning and Management. On the valedictory function, the chief guest was Prof K. S. Risam, Vice Chancellor SKUAST-Jammu.
Prof K. S. Risam congratulated Dr. Anil Bhat (Course Director), Dr. Jyoti Kachroo (Convener) and the whole team for organizing the programme successfully and in effective manner.
He suggested that agripreneurship and agribusiness should be encouraged at the level of input supply, production, processing, and packaging.
He was satisfied that the resource persons have been selected with lot of care and focus on a particular area and was impressed about the performance report shared by the participants during the feedback regarding the Model Training Course.
He suggested the participants execute the knowledge acquired during the training program at the field level as it is their turn now.
Dr. R. K. Gupta, Director Research in his address stressed to make farmer aware about the marketing of the commodities. Dr. D. P. Abrol, Dean,
FoA advocated to organize such type of trainings in future also so that the officers working at field level can timely disseminate updated information to the farmers.
The trainees were very much satisfied with the course contents and training material provided by the experts.
Earlier, Prof. Jyoti Kachroo, Convener MTC and Head of the Division welcome the Chief Guest and all the dignitaries and highlighted the areas and lectures delivered during the eight days training programme.
