KVIB sanctions 1739 loan cases in PMEGP, 616 cases in JKREGP scheme

Jammu, Feb 29: A District Officers meeting to review the performance of District Officers of J&K State was held under the Chairmanship of Chairperson Dr. Hina Bhat in the conference Hall of Udyog Bhawan Jammu.
The meeting was also attended by the Secretary/CEO KVIB Rashid Ahmad Qadri, FA and CAO KVIB Mohd. Ashraf Haqla, Dy. CEO KVIB Kashmir Division Muzaffar Alaqaband, Dy. CEO KVIB Jammu Division Tilak Raj, and senior District Officers from KVIB Jammu and Kashmir Divisions. Underlining the initiatives taken by the Government of India to strengthen the PMEGP scheme Dr. Hina said that to bring in accountability and beneficiary friendly, a system of e-tracking of PMEGP application has been made mandatory.
Each applicant is provided a unique ID online through which he/she can track status of PMEGP applications at various stages and rejection. Hearing upon some problems faced by the District Officers in the field Dr. Hina requested the District Development Commissioners of the State to support them in providing self employment to the educated youths as per the guidelines, which are liberal.
Secretary/CEO KVIB informed in the meeting that in the current financial year KVIB against the target of 633 cases has established 1739 cases up to 28th of February 2020 involving an amount of Rs. 3615.57 lakh as Margin Money under PMEGP scheme and 616 cases has been established against the target of 472 cases involving an amount of Rs. 1513 lacs as Margin money under JKREGP.
