DDC Samba convenes bankers and line departments meet under DLRC

SAMBA, FEB 29: District Development Commissioner samba, Rohit Khajuria today reviewed the target achievement of banks under various govt sponsored schemes in presence of district heads of line depts during the District Level Review Meeting, here in the mini conference hall, Nandini Hills, DC office Samba.
During the meeting Chief Planning Officer, Sukhleen Kaur, General Manager District Industries Centre, Sansar Chand, Chief Agriculture Officer Jahangir Shafi, Lead District Manager Ajay Koul besides other District officers and bankers were present.
Giving detailed information regarding the achievements made under various schemes in District samba, LDM said that 373 Financial camps were organised in the district against the target of 165, CD ratio is 57%, priority sector advances are 52% against national average of 40% while in agriculture advances the figures were 19% against the national target of 18%, credit flow to women beneficiaries is 19% of total advances, while annual credit plan is 39% much less than target.
District development commissioner samba during the meeting said that Samba district have been selected as pilot district for making it 100% digitally enabled district to receive and sent payments digitally in a secure, safe, quick, affordable and convenient manner. DDC laid emphasis upon making concrete efforts like issuing ATMs to all the account holders, opening more digital banking centres, creating awareness regarding digital banking in the district.
DDC also stressed on all the line depts to maximise the reach of their departmental schemes and also exhorted upon all district heads to work in tandem and close coordination with Banker in order to achievement the desired results. DDC also drawn attention of all the members of DLRC towards the area of annual credit plan and ground level credit (GLC) and directed to achieve the target fixed.
