Corrupt created disorder in J&K, nail them all: BJP urges Lt Governor
2/29/2020 10:35:23 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 29: Executive Member Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K, Raman Suri, alleged said that corrupt officials in erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir had created a disorder in every department, which was why youth were feeling insecure about their future and development had taken a back seat. An uncertainty was prevailing everywhere with nobody accountable or answerable to anyone.
Appreciating scrapping of the entire recruitment process of J&K Bank Probationary officers and Banking Associates, that was going on since 2018 with a lot of discrepancies including variances in cut-off lists, he said that fresh recruitment would be transparent and without any delay, thus enabling the deserving ones to find jobs fairly.
He said, due to the corrupt, no project was ever completed and majority of them were either abandoned or left midway. However, wherever there was interest of a select few, things moved at a good pace. These incapable and corrupt officials had pushed the erstwhile state to a stage where nothing moved. Be it sewerage treatment plant, artificial lake, cable car project, recruitment process, fair distribution of funds, development of roads or health and education sector, corrupt officials created a disorder everywhere merely to suit their interests.
He urged Lieutenant Governor G C Murmu to expedite the screening of such corrupt and incapable officials and nail them all, so that Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir moves smoothly on the path of development. A transparent and effective administration is need of the hour and, for that, the corrupt and incapables will have to be shunted out and made to meet their fate. The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) should also expedite their investigations and nail the guilty.
