Early Times Report

JAMMU, Mar 22: On the appeal on our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi ji, Janata Curfew was strictly observed across India today. Coronavirus or COVID-19 pandemic has become a disaster across the globe, including India, affecting more than 3,00,000 people and taking thousands of lives globally.
Executive Member Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K, Raman Suri, said that this Janta Curfew was need of the hour. We are presently in Stage II of the pandemic, and controlling the transmission of virus from infected to non-infected persons is the top most priority, along with curing the ones infected. This Janta Curfew of 14 hours has stopped this chain of transmission, bringing in a new ray of hope. There are people working selflessly at this hour of crisis- doctors, nurses, sanitation workers, government staff, police, media, and many more. They are thinking of the society before thinking about themselves. Raman Suri said, the appeal of our PM to thank all such people on the day of Janta Curfew at 5 pm for five minutes through claps, bells, etc. saw a huge response throughout India, including Jammu. He added, people started coming at their door, balcony and terrace even before the clock struck 5 in the evening. There was so much enthusiasm among people that even the siren, rung by authorities at 5 pm, could not be heard because of the sound of claps, bells, plates and Shankh. Raman Suri also thanked all the selfless people working against COVID-19 by himself blowing Shankh at 5 pm at his terrace. He said, the entire India is applauding in various ways for all these people working tirelessly for the safety and good health of 130 crore Indian citizens. Such people are real heroes, he added.
