Amendment in Domicile Law, youths' victory: Satish Sharma
4/4/2020 10:03:55 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, April 4: The way the central government brought and implemented domicile to UT Jammu and Kashmir, after which many opposition parties and the youth opposed it. But after just three days, in view of the increasing opposition, the central government made changes in the domicile and prioritized the youth of Jammu and Kashmir in all types of posts.
After this change, senior Congress leader and former chairman of Jammu Municipal Corporation, Satish Sharma has described it as a big victory for the youth of UT Jammu and Kashmir. He issued a press release giving all the credit to the youth of Jammu and Kashmir, saying that due to the lock-down, the youth could not perform on the streets, but the way the youths made social media their weapons, opposing this decrees of the center is praiseworthy.
He said that after just three days, the central government had to bow to the opposition of the youth and change the law and for that any amount of praise is less for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the battle is not over yet, we have won a single battle and there are many more to be won. Again Jammu and Kashmir has to be given the status of the state and to win that battle we all have to unite as one and fight for it.
He said that as long as the coronavirus pandemic is going on, we cannot do any kind of movement till then, but when it's over, we will once again go to the streets demanding the full statehood for Jammu Kashmir and will continue to fight for its rights.
