COVID -19 Outbreak: Two Sides of A Story
GOD's Plan To Filter and Balance the Nature
4/4/2020 11:26:28 PM
Vishal Singh

The outbreak of novel Coronavirus (COVID- 19) throughout the whole world , being china (Wuhan) as its epicentre has plunged the entire world into uncertanity and in a state of emergency.
With its origin from China, the virus has spread over 200 countries across the world and on 11 March, 2020 WHO declared it as a highly ‘Contagious and pandemic’. As of April 1, 2020 Global coronavirus cases surpassed 9,00,000 (9 lakh) with 48, 000 deaths on one side and 2,00,000 (2 lakh) recoveries on the other side. The novel virus has swooped even the superpowers of the world viz. U.S.A, China, Russia, Japan, U.K, Italy, France, Germany, Spain, India into a state of war with highly contagious enemy. The present scenario has compelled me to recall the words of Bill Gates, the co- founder of microsoft, who in 2015 in his TED talk titled “ The Next Outbreak “ said if anyone kills over 10 million people in the next few decades, its likely to be a highly infectious virus rather than a war. The words of Bill Gates clearly indicated a state of third world war where entire world would battle some pandemic and today his words seemed to be true.
Scientists and Researchers across the globe are trying their level best to find an effective vaccine. Certainly it is the need of the hour to prevent its further spreading .All struggling nations have adopted the mechanism of lockdown and social distancing. The modus operandi behind this strategy is to break the chain of spreading virus from person to person.
These two weapons of lockdown and social distancing are now acting as ‘Anti- virus ‘ for COVID-19.
The outbreak of COVID-19 all over the world with its catastrophic effects narrate one side a story whereas the other side of the story narrates the COVID -19 outbreak as God ‘ s plan to filter and balance the nature.
Amid lockdown in india and in entire world, the interference of man with nature has reduced to a maximum and drastic changes have been seen all over the world. Despite of having various climatic aggrements , world had never seen such changes.
Air Quality Index of Delhi came below from 1000 ( maximum recorded) to 100. Due to decrease in water traffic and pollution , Dolphins returned to Marine drive in Mumbai. Peacocks were spotted in Chandigarh post lockdown. As tourism in Japan declined , deers were spotted roaming. Satellite pictures clearly depict the reduction in carbon monoxide , nitrous oxide, methane , sulphur dioxide and air pollution as well.Ozone layer in stratosphere shows improvement amidst lockdown.
The deaths of approximately 50,000 people due to COVID-19 in entire world in three months depict its pessimistic view point whereas if we look towards its optimistic view point , amid lockdown daily 3700( 3700× 90 days = 333,000) deaths occuring due to accidents all over the world did not happen .
No doubt entire world is in a state of recession and is also sufferring from health emergency and economic slowdown , all countries have taken this challenge to fight against this virus and hopefully very soon we will overcome this virus but at the same time, the COVID-19 outbreak has tought a big lesson to humanity and entire world which should be kept in mind.
In short the principle of co- existance of man and nature seems to be true and COVID -19 outbreak has upheld its validity.
