Pakistan violates ceasefire in Nowshera, India retaliates

JAMMU, May 4: Pakistan troops on Monday yet again violated the ceasefire by firing unprovoked in Nowshera sector of Rajouri District along the Line of Control (LoC).
Defence spokesperson here said, “At about 1600 hours, Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing with Small Arms and shelling with Mortars along LoC in Nowshera Sector, District Rajouri.”
The Indian Army is retaliating befittingly, he added.
Pakistani troops on Sunday also violated the ceasefire by firing unprovoked along the Line of Control in Poonch and Rajouri districts. On April 29, Pakistan Army violated the ceasefire by firing unprovoked along the Line of Control in Poonch district.
On April 24, four residential houses suffered damages due to firing along the Line of Control in Rajouri district.
Pakistan troops violated the ceasefire by firing unprovoked along the Line of Control in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district in which four residential structures situated in close vicinity of LoC suffered damages.
On April 21, the Pakistan violated the ceasefire by resorting to unprovoked firing and shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kirni sector of District Poonch of Jammu and Kashmir and attracted effective retaliation from Indian side.
On April 17, Pakistan Army had shelled civilian areas and forward posts along the Line of Control (LoC) in two sectors Kirni and Qasaba in Poonch district, Army spokesperson said.
On April 12, the Pakistan Army and Its Rangers have violated ceasefire for four times in a single day – three times along LoC in Poonch and one time along International Border in Kathua.
