Mayor convenes meetings, reviews working of JMC

JAMMU, June 27: Mayor along with Deputy Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation convened a meeting of newly created Engineering Wings of JMC and reviewed the overall functioning of different Divisions of this section.
Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta and Deputy Mayor Purnima Sharma took status of the various development works which were started well before coronavirus lockdown, construction of ward offices in different wards, renovation / construction of Shamshan Ghats, Development& beautification of Green parks, establishment of open GYMs in the Parks, installation of 19 Number of unique types of fountains at Rotaries / Parks, Development of various water bodies for water conservation, installation of water coolers & other development activities for the welfare of general public.
They were apprised by the engineering wing that the development activities on some of these projects are going to be completed which were only delayed sue to nationwide lockdown on account of COVID-19 pandemic and also non availability of sufficient number of labourers / workers and due to creation of five number of Divisions in place of two & reshuffling of technical staff as well as joining of new staff and occupying proper accommodation.
Mayor and Deputy Mayor directed all the heads of the engineering divisions to expedite all the ongoing development works by deploying required number of workers upto the satisfaction of locals and with best quality material.
Ghulam Rasool, XEN along with AEE’s of Division –I, Arun Gupta XEN along with AEE’s of Division –II, Ashwani Kumar XEN along with concerned AEE’s of Division-III, Sunil Kumar Sharma, XEN along with AEE’s of Division IV, Mohit Mahajan along with concerned AEE’s of Project Division of JMC attended the meeting.
Later, Mayor also chaired a meeting of Enforcement Wing of Jammu Municipal Corporation in presence of Deputy Mayor which was attended by Chief Enforcement Officer, Enforcement Officer, Assistant Enforcement Officers as well as all the Enforcement Inspectors and had detailed interactions with them regarding the overall functioning of the concerned section.
